Chicks and Balances edited by Esther Friesner and John Helfers

Whoa! Another “chicks” collection. Get it immediately! Put down that other stuff, and read it now!

Once again Friesner has assembled an all star group of writers to give us more humorous fiction on the general theme of “chain mail bikinis”. Does she have to pay them at all? Or do they pay her for the fun of being in this collection?

Actually the stories stray quite a bit from the pin-up art inspiration, but they are all good stories and only slightly serious here and there. I won’t speculate on the possible autobiographical elements in some of the stories. 🙂

There isn’t really any need for me to ‘splain anything, anyway. You’ll like it.

And if you haven’t read the earlier collections, stop right now and go get them, too.

 Chicks in Chainmail (1995)
Did You Say Chicks?! (1995)
Chicks ‘n Chained Males (1999)
The Chick Is in the Mail (2000)
Turn the Other Chick (2004)
